Joseph Pfirrmann
A Maker. A visionary leader driving business changes that produce growth by creating strong teams and a fertile culture of innovation.
Joseph
is a Cincinnati, Ohio native with over thirty years of experience in
manufacturing operations environments. As his Grandfather and Father were both
machine shop business owners, he was exposed to manufacturing at a very young
age. He worked his way through the family tool and die business; starting as
the clean-up man with a mop and broom. He soon graduated to cleaning machines
and then learning to run them. Before leaving for college, Joe was a full-time
tool and die maker at the family shop.
During
Joe’s college years, he studied Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University,
while his focus turned to the front office work of design, operations
management and the finance of running a business.
After
college, Joe took his education and practical knowledge into the working world
and found experience in jobs from packaging to large farm equipment to
aerospace. He found his love to be in aerospace and has spent most of his
career in that industry. He has strengths in building and leading large teams
and is a strong agent of culture change resulting in profitable growth in the
businesses he leads.
Joe is a passionate leader who has a craving for ‘making’ which has kept him close to manufacturing his entire career. His constant involvement in manufacturing based businesses has developed him into a leader with a strong experiential base from which to draw to solve the problems faced by a modern manufacturing business. He has stayed close to the family business by being a member of its board for more than twenty years.
